Get those three right and even a mediocre match starts to feel promising.

Book for 21:30 or 22:00, not earlier. Ask for a corner table when you reserve. Order one shared starter, one main each, and pause before dessert to read the room. If the conversation is flowing, walk to Plaza de Chueca or Plaza de Olavide afterwards for one more drink. That's the entire playbook.
